The provisions contained in the manuals, regulations or pacts of coexistence of the schools that impose unified aesthetic patterns, are restrictive and exclusive, and therefore not admissible in the Social State of Law in which plurality, difference and multiplicity of criteria are essential purposes of the constitutional order. This was stated by the Constitutional Court when granting a tutela action to a student whose school prohibited her from wearing a hairstyle called "Californian".
