Exercise worthy of motherhood in people with disabilities

Exercise worthy of motherhood in people with disabilities.

In this case, the Court evidenced a violation of the rights of a mother in conditions of disability who requested to reinstate the custody of her child given for adoption. The Court's decision serves two purposes: (i) to protect the best interests of the child and guarantee his right to have a family and not be separated from it; and (ii) guarantee compliance with all of the State's obligations towards persons with disabilities and their right to form a family with dignity. The Court ordered that the Family Defender's Office conform a Committee composed of a doctor, a psychologist and a social worker, to accompany the mother and identify the obstacles and specific problems that she has in the exercise of responsibilities in the upbringing of her child.
