DUTY OF NEUTRALITY IN RELIGIOUS MATTERS OF THE OFFICIAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

The Court rule on the case of a teacher in a school who  has a religion different from Catholic. With the tutela  she intends that their fundamental rights to freedom of religion and freedom of conscience be protected and consequently, the school  be ordered not to compel her to attend the Catholic religious ceremonies that the school carries out. The Court deals with several issues: 1st. The scope of protection of the fundamental rights to religious freedom, of cults and of conscience and, 2nd. The principle of secularity and duty of neutrality in religious matters of the official educational institutions to finally grant the tutela.
