Justice Fajardo is a lawyer and political scientist from University of Los Andes, and specialized in Public Management and Administrative Institutions at the same university. She has more than 30 years of work experience in both public and private sectors.

As a public servant, her work has specialized on constitutional affairs. She participated in the process that led to the implementation of Colombia’s National Constitution of 1991, serving as advisor to the Presidential Councils for the Reformation of the Constitution, for the Development of the Constitution and the Constitutional Assembly. She also served as Deputy Justice of the Constitutional Court, as advisor in national institutions, such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and at the Office of the President, and has held managing positions in the National Agency of Legal Defense of the State. Justice Fajardo was appointed to the Constitutional Court June 6, 2017.
